INTEGRATING SOCIAL AND STOCK PORTFOLIOS FOR HOLISTIC SUCCESS
I was invited to speak at an annual conference focused on key social responsibility issues, with themes of equity and "sivistys," a Finnish term for education, civilized behavior, and wisdom of the heart.
I highlighted that “sivistys” is about communities and genuine human connections. President and peace negotiator Martti Ahtisaari emphasized that understanding people's views is crucial, but a clear vision for the future is essential.
During the event, I emphasized the importance of using data to amplify underrepresented voices. I pointed out that homogenous organizations can stifle innovation. Additionally, I suggested that we treat social portfolios similarly to stock portfolios, allowing us to diversify and incorporate 'sivistys' into our lives.
This discussion was followed by an article about me and my work.

NEW DIVERSE PRIVILEGES
I was invited as a member of the board of Åbo Academy University that endeavors to enhance diversity, inclusion, equality and sustainability.
When fixing the world’s big issues, academia plays an important role. I was happy to work as a catalyst for multidisciplinary discussions. Representing POC, women and youth - in a wheelchair.
This work took place during the pandemic - extra effort in building the bridges between existences was needed, as change happened online. Women are a minority in boards in general, and the Swedish speaking community historically represents privileged, closed circle of power. Every new voice counts.

CONQUERING LIVE TV ANXIETY AND EXPLORING SOCIETAL CHANGES THROUGH DATA
As Google's spokesperson since 2016, I’ve showcased annual trends in both search and YouTube. The data speaks volumes about societal shifts; for example, during the Black Lives Matter movement, searches for terms like "How to be an antiracist” and “What is systemic racism?" surged dramatically. These inquiries reflect a powerful collective desire to understand, learn, and foster meaningful change.
I once struggled with the fear of public speaking, especially on live television. Now, I effectively use data and empathy to communicate critical trends and empower audiences. My aim is to inspire action toward democratizing information and knowledge access for everyone. This mission aligns with my goal of joining Google, where I have further advanced this vision already for nearly 14 years.

My father is from Senegal and my mother from Finland: I’m a lovebridge between two worlds.
I want to focus especially in Africa - its future, potential and ways of being seen and heard throughout the world. I’m devoted to leading Africa’s change towards true independence - I work for a world where each human being and continent can be their genuine self, building on their strengths. I can help (any) two worlds communicate
and understand each other better.
I’ve been the African in the team. Besides the African perspective, I’ve contributed e.g. to leadership, administration, business model development and professional problem solving.

I was selected as part of the diverse team of 8 Finnish leaders to solve the challenges of future cities during the World Economic Forum 2022 in Davos.
The global economic elite gathers in Davos:
to be chosen to that context is a special privilege.
Finnish Flow curated the best of best of Finnish younger generation business talent in a process that took over a year. This was the(ir) first, pioneering, year in Davos.

I’m a board member of Skhole, a leading provider of e-learning and e-teaching. Skhole board is an example of scalable success through a diversified team. The reason we work together so well is that we are all totally different from each other.
Skhole board is an ongoing learning process of how to make a diversified team happen, work and flourish.
Being part of the board is a gift that keeps on giving: makes me see challenges and create solutions that can be applied elsewhere.
